“Fainting” Goats
Myotonic ‘fainting’ goats have a harmless condition called myotonia congenital that causes their muscles to freeze when they’re startled or excited, for about 10-15 seconds.
Fainting goats are smaller than most breeds and much easier to care for because of their condition. They are very friendly, intelligent and a lot of fun to raise. They can live 10 to 15 years. Our kids height will range anywhere from 17 inches to 25 inches at the withers.
At this time the fainting goat is on the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy Conservation list; officially declaring the fainting goat a rare breed and placing them on their “watch” list. There is thought to be only around ten thousand of these goats in the world.
We take very special care of all our animals and take great pride in our herd. Our fainting goats are very friendly, happy and healthy. We specialize in the miniature line, tri-color and blue eyes. All kids we sell can be registered with the Myotonic Goat Registry.
I do not sell my fainting goats for meat. I sell my goats as pets only! I do reserve the right to cancel or refuse a sale if I feel it is in the best interest of my animals to do so.
I will not sell a single goat to anyone that does not already own at least one companion animal. Goats are a herd animal and they must have a companion animal to live with, preferably another goat.
Our prices start at $550 for wethers and $675 for does. Price increases depending on coat coloration, eye color and polled. The price for all goats includes their shot, worming and castration for all bucks before leaving. All goats for sale are horned with brown eyes unless described otherwise. We will NOT disbud goats!
Deposits are $100 per kid to reserve a kid. All Deposits paid are Non-Refundable (including wait list deposits) unless the animal dies on our property or becomes ill and I am not able to sell it to you. Please do NOT pay the Deposit unless you are 100% sure that you want the animal. Once the deposit is paid, the animal is removed from sale and is yours to pick up when it is ready to leave its mother. If you change your mind about your purchase, your deposit will not be refunded. The only way deposits are refunded are if I cancel the sale for any reason.
For your convenience, deposits for animals can be made to us thru Zelle, Venmo, Cash app or PayPal. Using any of these options to send your deposit will get it to us immediately and we can mark your pet as SOLD. All PayPal payments require an additional fee of 4% added to the total prior to sending. Balance on all animals must be made in CASH when the animals are picked up! No animals leave until paid in full with cash.
