Miniature pigs, also known as teacup pigs, are the fourth most intelligent animal on the planet. Mini pigs are easy to teach and are very sociable. Mini Pigs form a strong connection together with the family and with other pets.

Mini pigs have become very popular because of their intelligence and their affectionate nature. They love to cuddle and be held. They are non-shedding and therefore are hypo-allergenic. They can be trained to use the litter box. They do not smell and are very clean.

Teacup Pigs need social time. Since they are extremely social and intelligent they must be with another animal or a house pet. The more you work with your pig the more affectionate it will become. Miniature pigs can live for 15 to 20 years. Our piglets should stay smaller than most piggies you can buy.

Our piglets should all weigh no more than 65 pounds, but they can easily become overweight if they are overfed.

I sell my pigs as pets only! I do reserve the right to cancel or refuse a sale if I feel it is in the best interest of my animals to do so.

History of the Mini Pig-

The idea of having a pig as a pet is a relatively new one, although pigs have been domesticated for thousands of years. Many remember the popularity of the Vietnamese Pot-bellied pigs in the 1980’s.  Unfortunately, this breed grew to 150-200 pounds and Americans realized how difficult a pig of that size was to manage.  All the while, scientific and medical laboratories had already developed a smaller version of the full sized, 1000 pound pig for their research needs.  Pigs are anatomically and physiologically similar to humans.  Creating a manageable, smaller sized pig for use in research seemed like a perfect idea.  Labs began selective breeding to develop this smaller pig with specific characteristics to benefit their research.  Selecting breeds of pigs to combine for their size, color, and growth rates resulted in the Mini Pig.
