Recommended Puppy Items

Purple Bag- All our puppies go home with a small sample of this food. We have never had any sensitive bellies to this food.

We will also send a sample of this food to go home and will happily send a recommendation for 35% off this food if it's what families decide to use! We do not feed this currently.

These are a must have during teething and for the adults! Be careful when they get little as tiny pieces can be a choking hazard.

We love Nylabone Edibles for the puppies! They are great to help during the teething stage. All puppies go home with a few of these in their goody bag. 

These are another must have chew! Different shapes can be filled with yogurt or peanut butter and be frozen for even longer lasting chew time. All puppies go home with a few of these.

Puppies love having a lot of different toys. I always recommend having some crinkle toys, some stuffed squeaky toys and rope toys. There can never be too many toys with young puppies! All puppies go home with a variety of toys in their goody bag. 

We use senior cat litter boxes with a small 3 inch step for the puppies. We personally continue using litter boxes for the puppies until they sleep through the night and can be crate trained.

We use pine pellets for the litter for the puppies. They do great using this. The pellets expand when wet and do not hold odor. We have never had puppies nibble on the litter. 

We do NOT use disposable pee pads! We use washable pee pads and they work great. I highly recommend using one in front of the litter box. Occasionally the puppies step in with their front paws and potty outside of the box. Please don't correct them for doing this, they think they went potty in their toilet!

Our adult females fit comfortably in 30" crates. Our adult males fit comfortably in 36" crates. I recommend beginning with a smaller crate or one with a divider that can be expanded as the puppy grows. Puppies going home at 8 weeks old will not be able to hold it through the night! I do recommend covering crates to make it more of a den feel. 

I love the IRIS 24" 6-8 panel plastic pens (we buy on amazon). I recommend beginning with a small 4 or 6 panel setup and then expanding the pen as the puppy grows. Pens are not to be used non stop, just a great option when the puppy is home alone or cannot be watched. 

I have two different small moveable pens for outside use. Any of the  metal play pens with stakes are great for a temporary, moveable pen outside. I also use some of the cheaper basic wire pens for young puppies.

Topples make for a great treat/feeder that makes the puppy work to get the reward. These are great to keep puppies stimulated!

I recommend these for quick eaters that need slowed down to help wear out the puppy while working for their meal. 

These are another great option to keep your puppy stimulated while working on earning treats. 

I use Outward Hound purple bowls when feeding most the adult dogs. These help slow the dog down so food can be chewed instead of just sucked down their throats.
